FAMILIAR FACES & COLORFUL CREATURES

Beginning as an exploration of scribbling and doodling during my undergraduate career. In and out of the studio, I was constantly making small worlds and characters brimming from some unknown realm full of possibility. This style truly exploded when I partook in Inktober 2019 which solidified these creatures and faces as a series. This began as a stream-of-thought drawing process, Sharpie straight to paper, which evolved into referencing real artworks. There are now hundreds of these pieces in total as the collection continues to grow and evolve into other illustration styles. In many ways, this is foundational in many of my creative endeavors.
